
fee scheduleThe purpose of Level One is to introduce the student to horsemanship
and to develop basic skills, knowledge and saftey around horses. In order
to pass level one students are requires to demonstrate walk/trot riding
skills as well as leading, tying, saddling and bridling and pass
a written test on lkowledge and saftey including: basic horse care, parts
of the horse & tack, gaits & movements, basic colors, basic breeds
& terms. Adult Beginner Level One Ground Class All the ground and safety information in Level One is covered plus
extra material about horse care. This is an excellent for adults and older
teens who would like to get all the basics to either supplement private
lessons or give them a good foundation for buying or leasing a horse.
Classes include riding demonstrations but are not designed for one on
one riding instruction. Discounts are given if you take this class with
a package of riding lessons. Review & Test For students who already have sufficient skills but need a review of
material in order to pass the Level One Test. Testing follows the review
for those students who are ready. The purpose of Level Two is to confirm the work in Level One as well
as develop more advanced riding skills and expanded knowledge about horse
care and riding. Students will work at the walk, trot, canter and be introduced
to obstacles and work on the trail (weather permitting). Some of the ground
knowledge covered will include: complete care of horse and tack, styles
of riding, gaits, colors and markings, feeding and health. Participants
must pass the Level One Test in order to take this course. Mini Riders Week (ages 4 to 7) The mini-riders class is designed to give younger children a fun, safe
week-long experience around horses with age appropriate learning activities.
Parents are encouraged to hang out (or not!) with us as we begin to bond
with and learn about horses. Class will go at least until 11:30 and may
