Please Note that the May 20th Show at Hunter Arena Has Been Canceled Suntaur Training was started by Kirsten Sundquist and is playfully named for the mythological horse-human creature known as the centaur. The centaur is also the inspiration for our training, which is classically based, in which the rider disappears into the horse creating an image of effortless movement and beauty. Kirsten Sundquist has been riding and training her entire life and after 35 years of working with horses, she is passionate and intrigued as ever with the horse/human connection. Raised on a horse ranch in Colorado, Kirsten was trained in a variety of styles of riding on a multitude of breeds. She began competing at the age of five and has since then won numerous awards at the state, regional and national levels throughout her youth. But it was at the age of 16 when Kirsten truly found her passion dressage and the art of classical horsemanship. She has been teaching for 20 years. Visit our 2005 Photo Gallery HERE |
